About Me
Kia ora! My name is Bailey Moore, and I’m a 15-year-old cyclist from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. Cycling isn’t just a hobby for me it’s a way of life. From short local rides to long-distance adventures, I’ve always loved challenging myself, exploring new places, and testing my limits.
My Journey
I started riding when I was young, exploring the trails and roads around my hometown. Over time, my rides got longer and more ambitious, and I discovered the thrill of endurance cycling pushing myself physically and mentally, planning routes, and experiencing the world from the seat of my bike.
Cycling has taught me resilience, patience, and the joy of small victories. Every ride, whether it’s a training session or a long-distance journey, gives me new lessons and experiences I love sharing with others.
The Big Challenge
In 2026, I’m taking on my biggest adventure yet: riding the full length of New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff — over 3,113 km in 34 days. I’ll be riding mostly solo, covering up to 100 km per day, and embracing every challenge the journey throws at me.
Why I’m Doing This
Personal Growth: Testing my limits physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Adventure: Exploring the stunning landscapes and communities across New Zealand.
Community Impact: Supporting the Aerocool Rescue Helicopter, raising awareness and funds for a cause that saves lives every day.
This ride is more than just a challenge it’s a journey of learning, connection, and inspiration. I hope that by sharing my story, I can encourage others to pursue their own adventures, big or small.
Thank you for visiting my site and following along I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
